Studying with Mormons:
Advantages:
One of the most important factors in sharing your faith with a Mormon (officially known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is your sincere friendship. Usually former LDS tell me that they had a close friend that talked to them about the Lord. This friend acted as a bridge between Mormon assumptions and explaining what the Bible actually says.

Usually Mormons will already view themselves as Christians and will accept you as one as well. However, they would see you as only having one fourth of the gospel while they have the whole package. Your faith in Christ, according to them, assures you of a place in heaven. However, in order to go to the highest part of heaven, the Celestial Kingdom (godhood, exaltation), you would need to have a Mormon baptism and a Mormon temple marriage.
They believe that if you don't join the LDS Church during this life you will be given a chance to accept it during the millennium.
Remember that they view you as the one with the defective belief system. You have only the Bible (which accounts for your "limited" understanding) while they have additional light from their other scriptures, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. Beyond this, they also have the teachings of their prophets.
I personally own these books below as I like to go to the original source for information when sharing with these people.

Keep in mind that we are part of a process. Paul wrote: "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." (1 Cor. 3:6) It may take several encounters with various Christians before the Mormon will seriously start re-evaluating his/her beliefs.
Pray that God will continue to bring Christians into the Mormon's life.
Where to Start:
Don'ts:
Do not rush the Bible studies and looking at their other books they have such as the books above.
Never argue or get upset. Remember you can always come back to a topic once you have had time to re-study.
Be a good fisherman. Sometimes you have to let them run but keep them on the hook.
Never show them hate material from off the internet but study from the Bible and their own books. Every religious group has lies again them on the internet.
Do's.
Ask them personal questions such as:
Do you love Jesus Christ?
What does He mean to you?
What country are you from?
How long have you been a Mormon?
What made you to become a missionary?
You can ask them questions about Joseph Smith such as:
Was he married?
Was he a prophet?
Tell me more about Joseph Smith.
What year did the Church of the Latter-Day Saints start?
Did he really see God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ?
Pray that God will continue to bring Christians into the Mormon's life.

Tell me about the Book of Mormon:
How true is the Book of Mormon?
Can the Book of Mormon be trusted?
Where did the Book of Mormon come from?
Is there any mistakes in the Book of Mormon?
How was it translated from the golden plates into English?
Its very important that Jesus is the centre of all your studies and they know you have eternal life in Him. Jesus is your friend. Jesus is everything. Be very positive and happy.
I also personally like to seek the Lord in prayer before they arrive so the Holy Spirit will give me love, compassion and skills for these beautiful people dedicated to sharing His word.
