How many Kingdoms of God are there?
Below is a quick overall view of the picture above.
Premortal Life:
Premortal Life:
As Mormon.org puts it: “Your life didn’t begin at birth and it won’t end at death. Before you came to earth, your spirit lived with Heavenly Father who created you. You knew Him, and He knew and loved you. It was a happy time during which you were taught God’s plan of happiness and the path to true joy. But just as most of us leave our home and parents when we grow up, God knew you needed to do the same. He knew you couldn’t progress unless you left for a while. So he allowed you to come to earth to experience the joy – as well as pain – of a physical body.”
We are each a child of God. Before we were born, we lived as spirits with God, our Heavenly Father. We were happy, but God knew that we could not progress further unless we left Him for a time and came to Earth. So, He presented His plan—the plan of salvation. Just as parents teach their children to one day grow into adults, our Heavenly Father sent us to Earth so we can one day become like Him. His plan allowed us to come to Earth, where we would obtain physical bodies and have experiences that help us learn and grow making mistakes. By doing this we can become like God Himself.
Paradise:
Paradise is that part of the spirit world in which the righteous spirits who have departed from this life await the resurrection of the body. It is a condition of happiness and peace.
In the scriptures, the word paradise is used in different ways. First, as mentioned above, it designates a place of peace and happiness in the post mortal spirit world, reserved for those who have been baptized and who have remained faithful (see Alma 40:12; Moroni 10:34).

Spirit Prison.
Those in the spirit prison have the opportunity to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, and receive the ordinances of baptism and confirmation through the work LDS do in temples (see Doctrine and Covenants 138:30–35). If they accept the gospel and their temple work has been done, they may enter paradise.

Paradise, Spirit Prison or the Grave.
Judgement will take place and the spirit will be sent to one for four places.
The Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, the Telestial Kingdom or to Outer Darkness. Outer Darkness is a permanent location of those who are not redeemed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
In this sense, hell is permanent. It is for those who are found “filthy still” This is the place where Satan, his angels, and the sons of perdition those who have denied the Son after the Father has revealed Him will dwell eternally. The scriptures sometimes refer to hell as outer darkness.

The Celestial Kingdom:
Those in the Celestial kingdom will dwell forever in the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. This should be your goal: to inherit celestial glory and to help others receive that great blessing as well. Such a goal is not achieved in one attempt; it is the result of a lifetime of righteousness and constancy of purpose.

Terrestrial Kingdom:
Those who inherit terrestrial glory will “receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fulness of the Father. Wherefore, they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies celestial, and differ in glory as the moon differs from the sun”. Generally speaking, individuals in the terrestrial kingdom will be honourable people “who were blinded by the craftiness of men” This group will include members of the Church who were “not valiant in the testimony of Jesus”

Telestial Kingdom:
Telestial glory will be reserved for individuals who “received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus” These individuals will receive their glory after being redeemed from spirit prison, which is sometimes called hell.
Most Protestant churches teach:
Most Protestant Churches teach there is one Heaven and one Hell which people will end up in depending on their life.
Some churches teach, such as the Catholic Church there is a purgatory where you have a second chance to decide before moving on.
